steel elements. This combination is of great importance: the interplay of organic and geometric forms creates a special tension. The organic elements, as metaphors of life, are often threatened by proportionally larger steel beams, which usually have a supporting function in the static sense. For their part, the geometrical steel forms stand as a metaphor for the society, which subjects the individual to his playing rules and curtises his personality.
This comparison of individual freedom and social coercion is a topic that fascinates me over and over again. The combination of natural wood and stone colors with rusted steel creates a unique aesthetic. The weathered surfaces give the viewer the feeling of being confronted with old materials. At the same time the content of the work on dimension becomes clear. The objects are linked by their rugged simplicity to archaic cult objects. The finds, collected from me, made of wood and stone, are usually only slightly modified for further processing, so that their own aura is preserved.
Current designs go in a further direction. They construct new spaces.
